Causing a Commotion

Hello Everyone,

I announced last week on my show that I was going to limit themed sets to once a month I did this because I thought it would be more fun if I posted the theme of the show up here ahead of time to get more listeners to contribute their feedback for the theme of that month. Another reason is sometimes themed shows tend to get old and I don't want that to happen. So please contribute and check this blog weekly to discover the theme of the month.

With that said the theme of August will be dedicated to Madonna since she is turning 50 on August 16th. Don't worry the whole show will not just be Madonna songs however it will be the "Madonna Connection"

So think of your favorite Sire records bands (since she was on that label).
Girls who were criticized for being a Ciccone cloney (Madonna wannabes).
Producers of Madonna (example Shep Pettibone, Jellybean) that worked with other artists (ex. Thompson Twins, Naked Eyes).
Artist that covered Madonna songs (ex. Lords of the New Church).
And bands that preformed or had something to do with Madonna.

This should be a super fun show! And if you want to keep on celebrating Madonna's birthday, Cinefest Film Theatre is showing Desperately Seeking Susan this weekend! For more info just visit www.gsu.edu/cinefest

If you have a rare Madonna song or fact that you want to contribute please email me at jennyirvin@gmail.com
